That is why we are going to cover the BMW X1 maintenance schedule, so you can know what to look out for when it's time to get service.

Let's get started!

BMW Condition Based Service (CBS) System

It's no secret-BMWs are intelligently designed inside and out. That is why when it's time for service, the BMW Condition Based Service (CBS) system will alert you when your BMW X1 needs maintenance.

The CBS system abides by BMW maintenance guidelines through sensors, which alert you through your BMW X1's computer. As you can see, your BMW X1 has your back.

Now that we have covered how BMW monitors your service needs, let's dive into what goes on within each service interval.

BMW X1 Maintenance: 10,000 Miles

Once you hit 10k miles or the 12-month mark (whichever comes first), you can bring your vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. Your BMW X1 uses an electronic oil measurement to monitor your engine and fluid levels, so you can feel confident while you cruise.

From there, the interval continues, and you will get a synthetic oil and oil filter change every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever occurs first. Additionally, your BMW X1's coolant is also replaced at 10,000 miles.

20,000 Miles

At the 20,000-mile mark, it's time to get your fuel filter replaced. Additionally, you will get another:

  • Oil change
  • Oil filter replacement
  • Tire rotation

Though the service intervals are monitored by your BMW X1, you can always consult your owner's manual or our dealership if you have any specific questions.

30,000 Miles

When you come in for service, our BMW service technicians will complete the first intervals of service previously mentioned, in addition to brake fluid replacement.

After your initial brake fluid replacement at 30,000 miles, it will be replaced every 60,000 miles from then on.

60,000 Miles

The first service intervals continue once you hit 60,000 miles, as well as the brake fluid replacement we previously mentioned. However, BMW technicians will also replace your engine air filter and spark plugs.

Once you hit 60,000 miles, it's also clear that your BMW X1 has taken you on many joy rides. Congratulations on your adventures, and here's to many more.
