The 2020 BMW X3 is a true stunner on the streets of Canonsburg and Pittsburgh. We know drivers as far as Uniontown and Morgantown want a closer look at this luxury SUV. That's why we've put together this article on the BMW X3 configurations. With so many options, which trim is right for you?

Delve into all five configurations in detail: sDrive30i, xDrive30i, M40i, M, and M Competition. If you have any questions, reach out to our team at Bobby Rahal BMW of South Hills!

BMW X3 sDrive30i

As the most basic version of this luxury crossover, the BWW X3 sDrive30i serves up a thrilling drive. The peppy powertrain includes a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and a sporty rear-wheel drive system. You'll have up to 248 horsepower on tap.

The iDrive infotainment system puts connectivity directly into your hands. With an 8.8-inch touchscreen, you can access Bluetooth® for hands-free calling, an integrated navigation system, and (via subscription after one free year) Apple CarPlay® for your favorite iPhone apps.

You can add advanced features without moving up trim levels:

  • Adaptive Full LED Headlights
  • Head-up Display
  • Surround View w/ 3D View

BMW X3 xDrive30i

The BMW X3 xDrive30i is identical to the base configuration in almost every way, from infotainment to engine. The sole difference? This version uses the xDrive all-wheel-drive system to give you more traction on slippery surfaces.

BMW X3 xDrive30e

The BMW X3 goes hybrid with the xDrive30e configuration. It pairs a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor to deliver 288 horsepower, 310 lb-ft of torque, and more efficient driving. This configuration also includes xDrive all-wheel drive to keep you stable in slippery conditions.

BMW X3 M40i

The BMW X3 M40i is your first taste of M performance. It runs on a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine that serves up 382 horsepower. You'll find standard xDrive all-wheel drive, too, for improved grip in any driving situation. An M Sport Suspension and M Sport Brakes are also included.

BMW X3 M

Under the hood of the X3 M is a 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine with 473 horsepower on tap. Here, performance comes into its own with an Active M Differential to boost your handling and agility. Meanwhile, an 8-speed M Sport Automatic Transmission delivers precise and instantaneous shifts.

Luxury-level comforts and conveniences can be found inside. The iDrive multimedia system gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and acoustics get amplified. A Harman Kardon® Surround Sound System serves up 16 speakers and crisp, clear sounds on every drive.

BMW X3 M Competition

With the BMW X3 M Competition, performance reaches its peak. That 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo engine under the hood is tuned to deliver 503 horsepower. You'll speed from 0 to 60 MPH in just 4.0 seconds-an incredible rate on the roads or on the track. Features are similar to those of the X3 M.
