BMW Ultimate Care
For starters, let's dive into what BMW Ultimate Care offers. This is a 3-year or 36,000-mile complimentary BMW maintenance plan for eligible BMW 5 Series.
This care plan includes the following maintenance items:
- Engine oil
- Oil filters
- Brake fluid
- Spark plug changes
Additionally, you have BMW Teleservices, which allows you to contact your local BMW dealer when in need of service. You also get Unlimited Mileage Roadside Assistance for four years and 4-year/50,000-mile coverage under the new vehicle warranty.
Now that we know what BMW Ultimate Care offers, we're going to cover the BMW 5 Series maintenance schedule and when you can expect service.
BMW 5 Series: Service at 10,000 Miles
The BMW 5 Series has a sensor-driven maintenance guideline that revolves around a Condition Based Service (CBS) system. With intuitive technology, this system cycles every 10,000 miles, which is when you can expect to get your oil changed and a tire rotation.
Depending on your driving conditions and driving frequency, your system may detect the need for other standard services. You can always resort to your BMW owner's manual to learn more about initial maintenance and to decode any service lights.
However, the BMW 5 Series is intelligent, and the CBS system will alert you to any impending service needs. Contact our service department today with any questions.
BMW 5 Series: Service at 30,000 Miles
Once your BMW 5 Series hits 30,000 miles, your vehicle's brake fluid should be replaced. Additionally, you may also have your fuel filter swapped out, as they usually get changed between 20,000 to 40,000 miles.
The first service interval may apply to the 30,000-mile mark, including:
- Oil change
- Fluid level check
- Tire rotation
BMW 5 Series Service: 60,000 Miles
At 60,000 miles, it will be time for your BMW 5 Series to have its engine air filter and spark plugs replaced. In addition to the 60,000-mile service, the first two service intervals previously mentioned will also apply at this service appointment.
