Powerful, attractive, and capable of helping you get wherever you'd like to go. No, we're not talking about the love of your life-we're talking about the BMW X3 and the Audi Q3. Both of these crossovers are quite remarkable, and either of them would fit the bill for the drivers around Canonsburg, Pittsburgh, Uniontown, and Morgantown. But which one is better for your lifestyle? Please join us as we find out!

Power and Performance

The first thing that our Bobby Rahal BMW of South Hills team noticed when the 2020 BMW X3 came out is that it can be a lot more powerful than its supposed counterpart, the Audi Q3. For example, let's say that you go with the BMW X3 sDrive 30i and its 2.0L BMW TwinPower inline 4-cylinder engine. In that case, you'll have as much as 248 horsepower under your command. On the other hand, the Audi Q3's 2.0L 4-cylinder engine only manages to squeak out 228 horsepower, which is a full 20 horsepower less.

And that's not even getting into the insane possibilities that the BMW X3 M40i brings to the table. 382 horsepower? An acceleration of 0-60 MPH in 4.4 seconds? Even top-tier Audi Q3 trim levels just can't keep up.

Style and Design

We're also big fans of many of the BMW X3's available exterior colors:

  • Phytonic Blue Metallic
  • Terra Brown Metallic
  • Carbon Black Metallic
  • Glacier Silver Metallic
  • Dark Olive Metallic

While the Audi Q3 offers some cool colors in its own right-including Pulse Orange and Tango Red-a few of them seem to scream playful rather than composed. The BMW's are lots more thoughtful and mature.

Versatility and Capability

Last, but certainly not least, we thoroughly believe that the BMW X3 is for life's doers and adventurers.

Why? Well, its standard Power Tailgate lets you access its impressive 62.7 cubic feet of maximum cargo space at the touch of a button. Unfortunately, the Audi Q3's cargo room falls drastically short of that. Even with its rear seats completely folded and stowed away, it only gives you 48.0 cubic feet, at the best.

However, we'll give credit where credit is due-both of these vehicles excel when it comes to all-wheel drive technology. The BMW X3's renowned xDrive system and the Audi Q3's quattro® all-wheel drive system both get the job done when it comes to helping you overcome nasty weather and nastier roads.
